Dr. Eddie Rodgers

Originally from Batesburg, SC, Dr. Rodgers grew up in Lexington County and always knew that he wanted to return to the area to raise his family and eventually to practice dentistry. His enthusiasm for the dental profession and his care for others is evident in the gracious, empathetic manner in which he treats all of his patients. Dr. Rodgers’ dedication to a high standard of healthcare is the foundation upon which Northwood Dental Associates is built.

Dr. Rodgers graduated from Clemson University and went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Medical University of South Carolina. He then completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Medical College of Georgia heavily weighted in implant placement and IV sedation. Committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of dentistry, he maintains memberships with professional organizations such as the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the Greater Columbia Dental Association.

Dr. Rodgers is active in his community as a volunteer with Lexington Children’s Dental Clinic, as well as around the world, having offered his services on dental mission trips to South America. He is also a Major in the South Carolina Army National Guard and is presently serving as the State Dental Officer. Dr. Rodgers and his wife, Ginger, have two children, daughter, Grey, and son, Bates.

 Dr. Drew Farmer, DMD

Dr. Farmer northwood dentalA native of Columbia, Dr. Farmer earned his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration from The Citadel in 1998 and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from The Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Dental Medicine.

While at MUSC, Dr. Farmer achieved a top-ten class rank, was awarded the prestigious SCDA Student Scholarship Award, and the F. Edward Hebert Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship.

Dr. Farmer’s training continued upon completing the U.S. Army 12-month Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Program. During this program, participants complete extensive work in many fields of dentistry, including complex treatment planning, occlusion, Periodontics, implant restoration, oral surgery, CAD/CAM dentistry, and Endodontics, and esthetic dentistry. Graduates of this program are exposed to both expert instruction and the most advanced technology in dentistry.

Dr. Farmer has served in the US Army an active duty officer and continues his military career in the South Carolina Army National Guard.

Dr. Farmer and his wife, Jennifer Dobbins Farmer have two sons, Max and Charlie. In his free time, Dr. Farmer enjoys water sports on Lake Murray, and coaching youth sports.
