Patient Care Coordinators

Michelle Hudson

Native to Winston-Salem, NC, Michelle is proud to have been a South Carolina resident for 14 years and a Lexington resident for nearly eight of those years. Along with her husband and son, Michelle loves the small-town feel of Lexington and the comradery shown by its residents. She has her Associates in Arts from Midlands Technical College and has enjoyed working in the medical and dental field for many years. Michelle says, “I am happy to be part of Northwood Dental and to work side by side with such awesome individuals!”

Angela London

Angela is a Charleston, SC  native and has worked in the dental field for over 5 years.  Angela says, “My position at Northwood Dental allows me to get to know all of our wonderful patients and to ensure their needs are met upon check in and check out.” She, along with her husband, daughter, and two dogs, enjoy Lake Murray, cooking, playing disc golf, and exploring the area to try new restaurants.

Dental Hygenists

Amy Helkowski

Amy is born and raised here in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School. She received her EMT certificate and Associates in Dental Hygiene at Horry Georgetown. In her spare time, she enjoys Lake Murray, playing tennis and attending her children’s sporting events. Amy says “I enjoy working at Northwood Dental because everyone is like family – I care greatly about my patients and making sure they are confident about their smile”. Amy has four children and two schnauzers and is an active member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church.

Mary Alice Leaphart

Northwood Dental is proud to have Mary Alice, who has been a dedicated team member for over forty years. Mary Alice says, “I began working at Northwood Dental on May 9, 1974. My favorite part of my job is the long-term patient relationships I have been able to build and maintain.” Born and raised in Lexington, Mary Alice enjoys being surrounded by relatives and is an active member of Zion Lutheran Church. She has two cats, Fido and Gracie, and enjoys sewing, paper crafting, and reading.

Crystal Stillwell

Crystal grew up the oldest of five children in Virginia Beach, VA and has recently moved to the area with her two cats, Gemini and Foster. Her favorite things about living in Lexington is that everyone is so nice and friendly and of course, Lake Murray! She has her Associates in Arts from Trident Technical College and her Associates in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Florence-Darlington Technical College. Crystal is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association. She says, “Our team at Northwood Dental is great because everyone works towards the common goal of doing what is best for our patients.”

Dental Assistants

Madison Davis

Madison graduated from Midlands Technical College where she received her expanded duty dental assisting diploma as well as a pre healthcare certificate. A part of our team since 2009, she says, “I enjoy working at Northwood Dental because I like meeting new patients and being able to ease their minds so their dental appointment is a pleasant experience. I love giving my patients a reason to smile with a smile they are proud of!” Madison has lived in Lexington her whole life and enjoys spending her free time boating on Lake Murray, attending concerts, and traveling with her boyfriend, David and Maltipoo, Aly.

 Crystal Stanley

“I came to Northwood Dental Associates in January of 2014 and am grateful to be part of such a fantastic work family,” says Crystal. A local to Lexington County, Crystal graduated from Airport High School and went on to receive her dental assisting certification from Midlands Technical College Allied Healthcare Program for Dental Xray and Nitrous Administration and Monitoring for the dental office. Crystal has two sons, Justin and Dalton.

 Bess Terrapin

Originally from Barnwell, SC, Bess has called Lexington home for 23 years and loves that it has everything you could need, plus a hometown feel. Joining the Northwood Dental team in 2014, Bess says, “Our office has a real sense of family and we treat our patients as friends. I really appreciate working at a place like that!” Bess has worked as a dental assistant in various dental specialties over the years and has come to value the wide array of knowledge obtained from each one. She and her husband, along with their two children, Savannah and Hunter, and two dogs, Daisy and Pepe, enjoy being outdoors camping, boating and mountain biking.

Sterilization

Cheryl Kirk

Cheryl has been working at Northwood Dental for 22 years, beginning as a dental assistant, then moving to the front desk, and now running our state of the art sterilization center. Cheryl says, “Northwood Dental is a great family practice with excellent dental care. Our doctors are hard workers and are daily motivated to bring patients the best possible care. Our office is very progressive, with every year providing new and wonderful changes.” Cheryl completed her education at Midlands Technical College. She has three grown children and two dogs, Buffy and Daisy.
